Objectives and Scope

The New World Despachos Code of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Policy aims to present the company's fundamental guidelines, and determine its performance within the business environment. Thus, this code should guide a set of actions by New World Despachos in order to stipulate and encourage ethical values in the relationship between employees, directors, suppliers and customers, and all those who make up the service provided.
Establishing minimum standards of behavior for employees in situations that may involve or characterize bribes and corruption, aiming to reduce New World Despachos' exposure to image and reputation risks.
The applicability of this code covers all directors, employees, suppliers, customers, communities and public and governmental bodies.

Concepts

Corruption is an unfair way of conducting business transactions, increasing uncertainties and costs, hindering international trade, reducing investments and, consequently, regional and global growth. Although corruption is seen, for the most part, in the civil servant, it is also relevant in the private sector.
New World Despachos repudiates all forms of corruption, directly or indirectly, always aiming at transparency in the conduct of its business and establishes methods to prevent and / or discourage the act.
It is New World Despachos' practice to encourage and aggregate employees and interns linked to anti-corruption actions so that under no circumstances will such actions occur in your hemisphere.

Bribery

It is the intentional offer, suggestion, payment or payment authorization to someone for personal gain, with the intention of motivating an active or passive deviation from the functional duty or to guarantee the performance of a function.

Corruption

Refers to the state or situation resulting from making available, requesting, authorizing, offering or receiving a bribe.

Payment

It is defined here broadly and does not necessarily have to be monetary in nature. It is any value, including goods, service and even information.

Policy Criteria

• It is strictly prohibited to offer or authorize a bribe offer or suggestion;
• It is prohibited to accept, pay or receive a bribe;
• It is forbidden to request or accept a bribe to influence a decision;
• It is prohibited to make any donations that are linked to improper benefits;
• It is prohibited to offer gifts or other forms of entertainment to customers, potential customers and public officials;
• It is forbidden to enter into agreements with competitors to boycott suppliers or customers;
• Do not hide any irregularities; inform your superiors immediately.

Doubts

Questions about the content of this policy or any situations that may involve corruption or bribery should be referred to the board.

Penalties

Failure to comply with this policy subjects the employee to disciplinary actions, including termination of the contract and / or administrative or criminal measures, in addition to the penalties provided for by law.

Child and Slave Labor

New World rejects the practice of child labor and does not agree with any situations that potentially involve the items below, forwarding solutions, either on its own initiative or in partnerships, when these prove possible;

• Irregular work by adolescents under 16;
• Inadequate conditions for the work and development of adolescents aged 16 to 18;
• Characterization of any form of discrimination, violence or attack on the fundamental rights of children and adolescents.

New World is against forced labor and situations that potentially involve coercion, punishment under any pretext, degrading disciplinary measures and punishment for exercising any fundamental right.
We do not agree with such practices and if identified, they will be properly reported to the competent authorities.

Recruitment and selection

It is the obligation of every employee who conducts the admission and integration of new employees to acknowledge this Code of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Policy, explaining its content in detail. A copy of this manual must be delivered to each employee, who will sign a proof of delivery, where it will be filed with the employee's personal folder in the Human Resources area.
The professional development opportunities will be the same for all employees, considering skill, initiative, performance evaluation and the potential of each one. Therefore, no form of discrimination will be tolerated.

Employee Responsibilities

• Treat your colleagues with mutual respect and without discrimination;
• Avoid activities that harm or conflict with the company's interests;
• Treat all information owned by New World Despachos, with secrecy and description (as a valuable asset), keeping the company's technology and intellectual property from losses and negligent disclosure;
• Never engage in bribes, commissions, illegal agreements or any related practice that is, or appears to be, illegal or unethical;
• Notify your immediate superior of any proven or suspected case of non-compliance with this document.

Gifts and presents

New World Despachos employees can offer or accept gifts and / or giveaways, as long as such gifts or entertainment are reasonable, common and informed to their direct supervisor.

No employee can give or receive a gift that:
• Be in cash related to suppliers, partners and customers who want to deceive with incentives for illegal transmutation and personal interests;
• Expenses refund;
• Violate any law;
• Be excessive or offensive to local people or cultures;
• Do not comply with the values of New World Despachos and this Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics.

Conflict of interests

Employees are prohibited from taking advantage of an opportunity that belongs to New World Despachos in order to obtain business or personal profits. Nor should they engage in commercial activities that compete with the company's business.

Confidentiality of information

Employees must keep New World Despachos information such as procedures, work instructions, objectives, organizational strategies, pricing policy and financial data completely confidential. Customer information such as registration data, cargo transition information and other details should also be treated with the utmost secrecy, preventing losses and leakage out of the work environment. The employee may be held liable for the penalty described in the law if participation in any of the above eventualities is proven.
